Video Clips

Thanks Bruce for the two clips from Sunday's service that you have made available on the website. Just got through playing both of them and they are truly as spiritually uplifting watching them as they were singing them in Church Sunday. We are blessed to have you and your talents to provide us so many things to enjoy on the website. Praise God for his Blessings of workers as yourself to provide avenues for his Word. Thanks again for your untiring efforts. God Bless.

Prayer Request - Sunday, January 21,2007

Sabra Gentry's grandfather, Donnel Gilmore was flown from Clearwater Florida and admitted to Smith Co Memorial Hospital. After he is dismissed he will then be admitted to the Smith County Health Center.
Please keep this family in your prayers.
I want everyone to remember Connie Gullatt's 4 year old grandson in prayer. Most of you don't know Connie, but everyone will know where he lives. He and his wife Sandra moved here from Florida with plans of retiring. They purchased the building on the corner of Main Street and Third Ave. East, where Kim's Frame & Art is. After a long remodeling process, they live on the top floor. A couple of weeks ago, he stopped by The Boredroom and told Matt that his 4 year old grandson had been diagnosed with bone cancer. According to Matt, they were planning on removing the child's leg in hopes to slow the cancer, but after other tests, it appears the cancer is in his back and also on his brain. Connie said the doctors told the family the only thing they could do was to keep the child as comfortable as possible. There doesn't appear to be any hope of survival. Please keep this family in your prayers. I'll keep everyone updated.

Harstville Missionary Baptist Church

Harstville Missionary Baptist Church is preparing a special service on Saturday March 3, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. to honor Elder J. Frank Carr for his missionary service in Japan. Bro. Carr will we giving his testimony, trials and suffering in following God's will for his life from 1951 through 1966. Those of us who have been blessed to hear Bro. Bro. Bruce Watts will be recording this service and CD'S will be available. I pray and hope that God's holy spirit will be among us that night. Everyone from North Carthage Baptist Church is invited to attend. Dinner will be provided by Harstville Missionary Baptist Church after Bro. Carr's presentation. Cumberland Valley School Of Gospel Music, Inc.

Our Church will be hosting and providing recording and video equipment for the Cumberland Valley School of Music to intoduce their New 2007 songbook titled "Thank You" on Feb. 10 at 2 P.M. I would love to invite our church people to come and listen to some great Gospel music being sung by some of the best voices available. This should be a very spirit filled event with some of our local singers participating. I especially would like to see our youth choir come and help out with the singing. There will be song writers there leading the singers in the songs they have written that are in the new songbook. Should be a great day of rejoicing and singing praises to our Lord. God Bless.

Youth Lock In

The youth of North Carthage Baptist Church will be participating in a Youth Lock In this Sunday night Jan. 14/6:00pm at the Church. All our youth are invited along with their invited friends. There will be plenty of adult supervision and we all are looking forward to a fun time. Bro. Gentry will speak to them with words of Gods love for children and Marian Cothern will show the girls some tips on makeup and hair styles. The boys will be given a talk on how to handle the pitfalls and temptations of being young men in this day and time. Bruce Watts is preparing to show DVD movies with his state of the art projection equipment. Jeff, Janice and Seth will lead us in singing praises to our God and Jesus our Saviour. Pizza, cokes, popcorn and other refreshments will be provided by the ladies of the Church. This will be a fun time for all and conducted in a Christian theme for our youth. Please come and let us celebrate Gods gift of our children. God Bless

Youth Choir

I would like to encourage our Church members to come and support our Youth Choir this Sunday Jan. 14 /2:00pm at Green Valley Baptist Church on HorsehoeBend Rd. The youths have really been dedicated to this invite by Bro. Gentry. They are to be commended for the time and effort they have put into preparing for this. I have watched them practice and they are truly a blessing and good. The parents that have brought the little ones are to be commended for their efforts. The young adults in the Choir are to be commended also for their leadership. They had 17 youths participating this last Wed. nite in practice and I expect 15-20 will be at the singing. They range in age from 5 & 6 to 18 years of age. It is truly spiritually inspiring to watch these children give praises to God with their singing. Bro. Gentry being the Good Shepherd that he is has promised them all a milkshake at McDonald's afterward. May God Bless all who have participated. Thanks to Jeff and Seth for their untiring efforts. God Bless

unable to view the service

Bruce,
We were unable to view the church service last week. When we clicked on the webcast icon it brought up the media player, but the only choices on it were music we had already downloaded to our desk top. I am not sure what we need to do to view the service. We never had that happen on the old web site. Is there something else we need to do to our media player or am I not seeing where to go once the media player comes up? Your help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
LeAnn and William
