Prayer Request

Richard Brooks a member and Deacon in our Church had a heart transplant this past Sat. July 14. He was put on transplant list and less than 48 hours he had a matching donor Heart. He has survived the surgery and as of yesterday was able to sit up and eat ice cream. I am a firm believer in the power of prayer as evidence of his well being so far. I ask that you remember him and his family and also the family of the donor Heart in your prayers. May God's will be done in his plan for Richard. God is Good. Thanks and God Bless.

Revivals In The Neighborhood

Revival began Sunday, June 10 at

Jared Missionary Baptist Church in

Chestnut Mound and

Old Path's Baptist Church off of

Hwy.70, toward Lebanon,

turn right at

Johnson's Rest Home,

church will be on the right.

Service begins at 7:00.

The Lord Continues to Bless Us

As another revival comes to a close, once again we have been blessed with two souls being saved and seven uniting with the church. Shayla and Nicholus were saved on Wednesday night and during the Sunday morning worship service, seven came to unite with the church. Of the seven there are four that will be joining by baptism, they are Shayla, Nicholus, Diann Bussell, and Jimmy Hamlet. Diann's parents Faye and Sammy Bridgewater joined by letters, Faye from Malones Chapel and Sammy from Riddleton Baptist Church. Keisha Dyer the daughter of Bro. Dewey Dyer joined by letter from New Macadonia.

Even though the revival may have ended and two young souls were saved, our work is not over, it has only begun. As I look out over the congregation I see the field is ripe for harvest. It is up to those of us that have been saved by God's wonderful grace to do whatever we can to help with the harvest. I believe if we will do a portion of what is asked of us, we will be very very busy. But just imagine what the pay will be ... WOW!

Revival 2007

Starting this Sunday night June 3, at 7:00 P.M. our revival starts. Bro. Pee Wee Massey Pastor South Carthage Missionary Baptist Church will be helping Bro. Gentry bring the God inspired preaching. Webster dictionary defines Revival as (1) bringing back to life (2) renewal of interest. I believe either one of the two fits the need of this years Revival. Bro. Gentry this past Wednesday shared with those of us present at choir practice his deep heartfelt concern for our people and this Revival.
Prophets of the Old Testament gave people and nations warning of God's dissatisfaction with the way things were going. Bro. Gentry being a God called Preacher voiced his concern that our World,Country,State,County,City and Church was missing a great opportunity to serve Our God and put God first in our lives. I am writing this post to let our people know that I agree with him. I put myself first when it comes to lacking the deep, deep, deep commitment to serve My God as I should want too. Those of us that have been Save by His loving Grace and His Son dying on the cross for our Sins should be ashamed of ourselves for not doing more to tell of God's wondrously Love,Grace,Mercy and Long Suffering for his people. I want to encourage everyone this upcoming week to put God first in their lives and let the Worldly things rest for just one week. We Owe It To God. We all have friends, family and people that we work with that are lost and going to Hell while we set by satisfied with our own Salvation. Let us all as Born Again Believers set this week aside for Our God and bring ourselves and someone else to Revival. God Bless and Love to all.

prayer request

I am asking once again to keep my family in your prayers. They are planning to put my mom's husband Richard on a respirator tomorrow and they don't expect him to ever come off of it. They are waiting till tomorrow to allow everyone the chance to see him and speak to him before they do that. The Pneumonia has gotten so bad and it isn't getting better as well as still having the one hole still leaking air in his lungs. This is a very difficult time for my mom.
Thanks,
LeAnn M. Cranston

prayer request

Please remember my mom's husband Richard Deebanks in prayer. He has had no change. He isn't getting worse but there has been no improvement with his collapsed lung. They have decided that they will do surgery on Tuesday. This is a very risky surgery and because of his poor health could go any direction. There is no guarantee that this surgery will work or help and has many adverse possible complications.
Thanks,
LeAnn

Prayer request

I would like to ask for your prayers for my mom's husband, Richard Deebanks. He had to be taken to the hospital on Monday and is still in Cookville hospital. His lung collapsed. They have put chest tubes in and removed them and it will not hold and he is being taken to surgery to have another one put in this afternoon. The doctors say that if this doesn't work over the next couple of days then he may have to have surgery done on his lungs that would be very serious surgery.
Thanks,
LeAnn

JUBILEE 2007

Jubilee 2007 the largest gathering of Missionary Baptist will be held in Nashville on April 20-21, 2007 at the Maxwell House Convention Center located at 2025 MetroCenter Boulevard. Our Pastor Brother Charles Allen Gentry has been invited to preach the message on Saturday April 21 at 9:00 A.M.. Bro. Gentry has somewhat become the patriarch Baptist preacher of the area as this invitation to preach confirms. This undoubtedly will be the largest crowd that Bro. Gentry has ever had the opportunity to deliver a Sermon too. I know that he will be prepared and God will provide the message for him to deliver. Our Church and membership are excited about this and we would like to invite as many of you that can, come and support Bro. Gentry. Some of us will be going down Friday night to participate in the largest Missionary Baptist Choir singing event Friday and Saturday. The Wilburn's will be participating along with Eddie Crook, Don Hines and many more singers and choirs that our Church is familiar with. If you are interested in going and spending the night on Friday the 20th please call this number 1-800 -457 -4460 and ask for the Jubilee 2007 rates or visit the Maxwell House website www.millenniumhotels.com/nashville and enter code JUBIL where prompted. This will be a great opportunity to fellowship with Brothers & Sisters of our faith and doctrine, to lift our voices up in Praise to God and help support our Beloved Pastor. God Bless

Prayer Request - Sunday, January 21,2007

Sabra Gentry's grandfather, Donnel Gilmore was flown from Clearwater Florida and admitted to Smith Co Memorial Hospital. After he is dismissed he will then be admitted to the Smith County Health Center.
Please keep this family in your prayers.
I want everyone to remember Connie Gullatt's 4 year old grandson in prayer. Most of you don't know Connie, but everyone will know where he lives. He and his wife Sandra moved here from Florida with plans of retiring. They purchased the building on the corner of Main Street and Third Ave. East, where Kim's Frame & Art is. After a long remodeling process, they live on the top floor. A couple of weeks ago, he stopped by The Boredroom and told Matt that his 4 year old grandson had been diagnosed with bone cancer. According to Matt, they were planning on removing the child's leg in hopes to slow the cancer, but after other tests, it appears the cancer is in his back and also on his brain. Connie said the doctors told the family the only thing they could do was to keep the child as comfortable as possible. There doesn't appear to be any hope of survival. Please keep this family in your prayers. I'll keep everyone updated.

Cumberland Valley School Of Gospel Music, Inc.

Our Church will be hosting and providing recording and video equipment for the Cumberland Valley School of Music to intoduce their New 2007 songbook titled "Thank You" on Feb. 10 at 2 P.M. I would love to invite our church people to come and listen to some great Gospel music being sung by some of the best voices available. This should be a very spirit filled event with some of our local singers participating. I especially would like to see our youth choir come and help out with the singing. There will be song writers there leading the singers in the songs they have written that are in the new songbook. Should be a great day of rejoicing and singing praises to our Lord. God Bless.

Youth Lock In

The youth of North Carthage Baptist Church will be participating in a Youth Lock In this Sunday night Jan. 14/6:00pm at the Church. All our youth are invited along with their invited friends. There will be plenty of adult supervision and we all are looking forward to a fun time. Bro. Gentry will speak to them with words of Gods love for children and Marian Cothern will show the girls some tips on makeup and hair styles. The boys will be given a talk on how to handle the pitfalls and temptations of being young men in this day and time. Bruce Watts is preparing to show DVD movies with his state of the art projection equipment. Jeff, Janice and Seth will lead us in singing praises to our God and Jesus our Saviour. Pizza, cokes, popcorn and other refreshments will be provided by the ladies of the Church. This will be a fun time for all and conducted in a Christian theme for our youth. Please come and let us celebrate Gods gift of our children. God Bless

Youth Choir

I would like to encourage our Church members to come and support our Youth Choir this Sunday Jan. 14 /2:00pm at Green Valley Baptist Church on HorsehoeBend Rd. The youths have really been dedicated to this invite by Bro. Gentry. They are to be commended for the time and effort they have put into preparing for this. I have watched them practice and they are truly a blessing and good. The parents that have brought the little ones are to be commended for their efforts. The young adults in the Choir are to be commended also for their leadership. They had 17 youths participating this last Wed. nite in practice and I expect 15-20 will be at the singing. They range in age from 5 & 6 to 18 years of age. It is truly spiritually inspiring to watch these children give praises to God with their singing. Bro. Gentry being the Good Shepherd that he is has promised them all a milkshake at McDonald's afterward. May God Bless all who have participated. Thanks to Jeff and Seth for their untiring efforts. God Bless

unable to view the service

Bruce,
We were unable to view the church service last week. When we clicked on the webcast icon it brought up the media player, but the only choices on it were music we had already downloaded to our desk top. I am not sure what we need to do to view the service. We never had that happen on the old web site. Is there something else we need to do to our media player or am I not seeing where to go once the media player comes up? Your help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
LeAnn and William
